Among all the blog posts, my eye was caught by Hanwei Ma’s blog post on the processes of multicultural communication. I was interested in her blog post which focuses on two topics, that interact with each other: cultural sustainability and collaboration. Reading the post I felt familiar with the problem that Hanwei faced, I liked that she came up with the question that bothered her while attending the lecture and summing up everything learned during sessions she answered posed questions that show the done work was fruitful.
I agree with Hanwei, that it is a very important topic to discuss when you are surrounded by multinational society and everyone has a different cultural background, that in some way does not give us an opportunity to clearly express oneself or have proper communication. It is always difficult to interact in a multicultural society as I have personally experienced that I do understand how important it is to feel comfortable and confident when it comes to communication.
I also like that Hanwei looks at cultural communication not only thought friendship or communication in general, but she pays big attention to the process of collaboration. It is not a secret that working in a group and collaboration is not the easiest thing, because it requires finding consensuses and the ability to clear spear your mind, but looking at it from cultural retrospective it makes things more difficult. In different countries there are different etiquette in entering into communication, expressing ideas, and participation in collaboration in general. Hanwei correctly highlighted that working together helps to solve a problem and achieve a goal and working in this way is gaining popularity in fashion as it is a very effective approach.
It is valuable to admit that in her post, Hanwei really made conclusions on how to enhance communication during collaboration. The last passage is very informative and useful as it shows what people need to do, to work effectively in the group, and how this attitude forms in our psychology.
