Blog 4

Response to another student’ post Andre Rqueline Scacal Romano

After I read his blog 3, I think that the project he made is very good, and it is consistent with the theme of better life sustainability that I imagine.

When the covid-19 virus swept the world, the theme of better lives seemed more closely related to the daily life of contemporary people. Some people began to shop online at home and continued to support the fashion industry and their own fashion attitudes. The problem cannot be fashion consumption. Because of the concept of seasons all the time, the fashion industry inevitably formed a huge industry waste.

Emotions and aesthetics are very important sources of creation in the fashion industry no matter what major. When Andre was “footed” at home, according to his state of being at home, he used the only clothes in the closet to create an all-black oversize shape inspired by teddy boy. He combined his mood at home with the people in the picture. It is unclear whether it is the front or the back, which adds a sense of mystery. It also uses everyday materials to create sustainable shapes. These ideas are worth learning.

Because of the sudden epidemic, many people’s fashion attitudes and ideas have been hindered. What we can do as fashion students is to make full use of this epidemic. The opportunity at home to think about the impact of fashion on ourselves. Articles create new ideas, reduce fashion consumption as much as possible, and promote sustainable development of fashion.
