Through better live units, our public relations group had successfully created a public relations campaign for grace Wales Bonner to promote goodwill and help support positive masculinity to the community.
From nothing to everything, we learned how to plan throughout the brand campaign from idea generation, research..to the outcome. its the first time I get an industrial-like project experience. due to the cover 19 situation, we won’t be able to shoot our final ideas, but I gain a lot from this project.
Our group divided tasks to everyone, and I need to figure out the key message of the brand and find related contemporarily campaign examples. In the beginning, I had no idea how to locate the key right message of the brand, so I spent a lot of time researching media releases and news about grace Wales Bonner, this process made me investigate the brand in-depth, then I realized all message are connected, you just need to locate the one suitable for your case. it’s an essential ability to locate key points through complex information sources.
During this process, I learned how to research a brand in deep and plan appropriate campaigns for them: from locating target consumers, finding charities &media partners to work with or writing public relations press. i got a deeper understanding of brand identity &promotion and the importance of causes&key message. Besides, the campaign project benefits me of look at things in border perspectives and start to think what the message brand try to communicate, and how they delivered it, it’s helped me to think in a professional standard.
I found Its necessary for public relation practitioner to extract touching point for the brand campaign and deliver it. We need to focus on the message that would communicate with the public most, let the audience know what’s brand do and what change we want to bring .its generally hard processing because you need to understand your brand deeply but as research goes further its will get easier. We had cover how to write a press release in the lectures and analyze luxury brand press releases as a paradigm. I found that a good press release always has a clear message without any wasted words.its require public relation practitioner has a solid writing foundation and always keep focusing on their goal when delivering a message. As pr release does not only deliver a message but also saying your brand charters to the public, everything counts in the audience’s mind.
Through remotely group work I had learned a lot from my peers, it’s weird at the Beginning of remote working condition but we adjust it at the end. We have people who always brought an interesting touching idea to the discussion and people who have a strong aesthetic. i learned how to working with people from diverse cultural background and that always bring new ideas out.
All in all, it’s a beneficial experiencing unit as it opens the door of the public relations world for me, makes me want to explore furthermore.
