by attending lectures of better lives, it makes me seriously rethink what fashion can do to make the world a better place, and what we can do to change the world and make up all the problems caused by fashion. It’s forced me to think in a higher perspective. which is for the environmental benefit.
I was greatly inspired by the lecture inclusivity. the lecturer mention that designer should be making mainstream products that have population aware&user controlled and business focus. as a designer, we need to stepping into other feet to do design. Laura’s talk inspired me of how many people have a disability haven’t got enough suitable design for daily life, we have to account for the needs of real people. inclusive fashion should contain functionality&materiality and visualzation together. design goods for all human beings. as well as fashion has so much to offer to this world.
Perspective and collaboration are other key points that interested me. Everyone has their unique thoughts, no matter where our geographically from or socially complicated lives, these perspective matters. As we are creatives in the fashion industry we need to network and communicate with each other to get new inspirations.its also interesting how our culture overlapping and mutually-influencing tribe context.communication and collaboration together is the only way to build a better live.we need each others opinion to get improvement.
Fashion could bring good but also serious environment problem like climate change, pollution, habitat loss, and degradation…we need to find a solution for what we caused today.nature is important for all of us, if we don’t design or think more sustainably, there’s no future for all of us.instead of saying, we need to make real practice into everyday designing
Through all the better live lectures makes me realized one thing: we can change the world.as LCF student are all future worker of the fashion industry in every perspective we now knowing of the urgent to-do goods for the world and we can do so.design student could making sustainable fashion, media student is shaping the communication part. The future can be changed, and I’m looking forward to it.
